It's breeding time again!

Since the 14th of July we are breeding again! Where we only just have started with the senbetsu (selection) of the newborn tosai (koi in the first year of their life) since the 7th of July, it’s already time to start with a ‘second’ round. We (Dainichi) do this, because when the senbetsu is finished, we put the remaining fish of two ponds in one. This means one pond will remain empty, which therefore can be filled again with new koi fry. In this blog I will show you the five oyagoi (parent fish) combinations the morning after they were put together, so you will be able to see some eggs :)

Enjoy the video of breeders most important property: the oyagoi!
