However the Koiworld is much bigger than just Japan. Last year I wrote a few blogs about one of the annual Koishows held in the United States. America has a very active Koiscene and no less then 36 ZNA Koishows are organised every year. One of these shows, the opening show of the year, is the San Diego Show, organised by The Koi Club of San Diego.

It’s Goromo time

Yoshiki Goshiki

GoshikiWith the Goshiki breeding that was set up this year on the Polish Koifarm, parent Koi of Japanese origin were used. The 5 year old female originates from the Conias farm, the 4 year old males were purchased at Tamaura in 2010. This year this group has been used for breeding the first time. The Jumbo Champion Award and the Governor Awards were the last of the great prizes on the 52nd edition of the Niigata Nogyosai. The Jumbo Champion prize was, as the name implies, handed out for the most beautiful, largest Koi.
