Vertigo – yes I can call her by first name now – swims all knowing, however also in full innocence around in the blue champions vat. The looks of this Kohaku are still sublimely. It is pleasent to meet her again after a year and I am happy to see that she’s doing so great, even while residing in a hobbyists pond. The charm is mainly based on the formidable body that looks from head to tail strong, but also streamlined and subtle. A resounding performance! Since the news reached me this morning, I haven’t stopped bouncing. The Dutch Koi dealers Makoi and Koicentrum van Keulen won Grand Champion on two different Koi Shows in Japan on the same day. It seems like the weather is going to be great and although usually somewhat cliché, this year may be prominently stated. The other Koi shows this year were namely not without the wet rainwater. Marion, columnist at KoiQuestion and also my (Tiebo Jacobs) better half, is pregnant with our baby! This hapiness is very special, because we did not expect this miracle of life. We are very proud and happy and of course some questions came up in our mind: will Marion and our child be allright, what will our baby look like and what kind of monkeyshine we should be aware of?
