Is it a Scottish battlefield from the Braveheart era? Is it a French fair with blue barrels full of wine? No; it is the Euregio Koi Show in Oldenzaal (central east of Holland) that really had a burst this year! It was already known that a new location had been found, and in Rijswijk (All European Shinkokai Koi Show) we heard that dealers from the southern part of the Netherlands and Flemish dealers planned to come as well and take part in the show contest of the central area of the Netherlands. Who came out on top when the prizes were awarded? Read More →
The 3rd All European Shinkokai is held at a new venue, but the Grand Champion remained the same. It took a long time, but it’s finally here in Western Europe: spring time! And on the same day the first European Show, the Interkoi show, was held. Coincidence? There is still a lot to publish, starting with a video of the Grand Champion, owned by Hartono Soekwanto, bred by Sakai Fish Farm and handled by Samurai Koi Centre.
Sakai Fish Farm has repeated history today. The victory of M Legend (the famous SFF Kohaku) today means that she has won the All Japan Combined Nishikigoi Show for two times now! Only one time more did this happen, when Loran, an Ogawa Kohaku, did this as well. This Kohaku is really the most beautiful Kohaku I have ever seen in my life! Read More →

Can you recall the magnificent Kohaku of the Sakai Fish Farm, currently referred to as M Legend? Will she be able to equalize with Loran, the only Koi to win the All Japan Show twice? Read More →
The fact that the Koi world is definitely not limited to its origin in Japan is widely known. However, what most people don’t know is how the Koi hobby is experienced in other parts of the world.
