Clutter at that big showvat, why was it empty in the first place? did someone not show up or something? When the urgent public dissolves a bit, I see the smoothness of the water surface being disrupted by a most elegant posture of red, white and black. It is the Grand Champion of the very fits European Shinkokai Show held in the Netherlands. The ninth edition of the Dutch Koi and pond days have hereby met with their champ. It’s the Taisho Sanshoku (Sanke) from Andre Verpoucke. her name equals the day; Sunshine!

Supreme Champion

As posted yesterday, not only the weather has been busy shining this weekend at the Dutch Koi and pond days. During Hollands’s first All European Shinkokai Koi Show, many more fish were easy to look at. The quality of the Koi entered in the show was overall a lot better than it was last year.  This was probably due to the fact the Koi show was then held at this location for the very first time. This year, people had great faith in the constant refreshing system they run on their show vats and many Koi were entered.  Offcourse the quality of the Koi does not match up to an All Japan or Asia Cup, but nevertheless a few breathtaking Koi were present.
