Unfortunately the 51st edition of the Niigata Nogyosai is on it’s end now. I have seen a lot of impressive Koi, catched up with a lot of familiar faces and shot a lot of nice pictures. There was a very strong competition for the Grand Champion award, with a deserved winner as a result: Hisato Nogami’s Kohaku was the winner of the show, leaving a Dainichi Showa behind it as the Supreme Champion. Hisato Nogami-san’s Kohaku was the well deserved winner of the 51th edition of the Niigata Nogyosai. On the picture left you see him proudly showing his new throphy to the present photographers. Untill now I have only showed you pictures of the Grand Champion, now I want to show you the video I made of her on the Sunday of the show. Special awards for special Koi!

I am not finished yet with publishing all the major awards of the 51th edition of the Niigata Nogyosai which was held last weekend. So far I have shown you the Grand and Supreme Champion, plus the best in size winners. In this blog I would like to introduce you the ‘Special Award’ winners. These special awards’ complete name is ‘The Niigata Prefectural Society of Nishikigoi President’s Special Award’ and will be given to three outstanding Nishikigoi. Also the Jumbo Koi award is shown in this blog.
