Well, here I am, after 36 hours with no sleep at all. I just returned from the Rinyukai party, which is celebrated before the Koishow. There were no Koi present this day, they will arrive tomorrow. The time between arrival in Indonesia and the party I used useful: literal cultury snuffing in Jakarta!

In Jakarta, where this weekend the very first Rinyukai Indonesia Super Koi Show is been held, the Grand Champion was just announced. Recieving 24 votes of the in total 32 judges, the Sanke of Didi Wakara, handled by Samurai Koi Centre, scores an ‘Ippon Hi’ and takes home the gold. Read More
Didi Wakara, the owner of the well-known Maruten Sanke, that won three times Grand Champion A by now (including the Rinyukai Indonesia), is also the owner of the number two (Runner Up A or Supreme Champion) of the show! The third major award that’s won by Didi Wakara is the Grand Champion B (non Gosanke) award. Winning Grand Champion, Surpreme Champion and Grand Champion B on one occasion is a very big achievement. Then again, this Karashigoi also a very big Koi. Read More

The first Rinyukai Indonesia Super Koi Show held in 2012. I am sure I will not easily forget my presence there! The show, where only a couple of months could be used for preparation, was truly amazing and very, very, impressive. I have never experienced such an interesting and catchy show where a lot of attention was spend towards its appearance. Read More
