Grand Champion Young Holland Koi Show
The first Young Koi Show in Europe finally took place. This first edition was a really cozy one, with many hobbyists present also a well deserved winner. The Grand Champion, elected by an official jury, is a Marusho Sanke owned by Alwin van de Werfhorst!
The hobbyists Grand Champion
Normally a grand champion is elected by ‘official’ jury members. At the Young Holland Koi Show, probably a very unique situation occurred: every participant (hobbyist who signed in a Koi for the show) was crowned to a judge. This brand new jury choose the ‘Hobbyists Grand Champion’ of the show!

In the context of his training to become judge, Richard Albertsboer came with the idea to let a few international respected judges, judge a couple Size 4 Taisho Sanshoku. These Sanke were entered to the First ZNA All European NVN Young Holland Koi show, held in Nijverdal, the Netherlands. This judgement was done by using photographs instead of doing it live. Would the result be the same as the results on the show?
